We were looking for an admin assistant online and Nicole from Sllick came to us, giving us multiple options. We wanted someone to support our team with bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS, and payroll but Sllick allowed us to find someone for the role without worrying about sick pay, holidays, maternity leave, someone with continual employment. They essentially take care of all the virtual finance side of things and we just always know that they will be there.

As we’ve mentioned, Sllick took on all of our bookkeeping, VAT returns, CIS, payroll, all of the things that we as business owners weren’t 100% confident in doing by ourselves. They took it all on and they’ve been able to do everything for us. Since we use Xero, we’ve also been able to get some advice on using the software to its fullest. If you’re using Xero or thinking of moving to the software, the Sllick team’s knowledge of Xero is worth its weight in gold.

Pre-Sllick, we would’ve been printing out invoices upon invoices, but they’ve got us into HubDoc and just made everything run so much smoother. Our business was growing so quick that our old way of working was just not keeping up at all.

We were very satisfied with the comprehensive way in which Sllick were able to help with not just our finances but our business. They were essentially able to help us the most with streamlining our business. We went from paper invoices and paper job sheets, which we issued to our service team, to digital. We’ve got iPads for our service team employees now and we’re set up with ServiceM8, which is field service software so we can issue jobs to our team quickly, track where they’re at, their movements, and issue materials and invoices right on the job. This way, the team can add their materials to the job they’re working on, which helps a lot by eliminating all of the paperwork we had to do before.

Nicole also fully set us up with iPads, she got everything sorted for us. Once someone has done these things for you, you realise how easy it is and just makes you think “Oh, why didn’t I think of that?” There’s a huge difference now with how everything is run in the business, it’s almost like a huge weight off our shoulders. We’re able to turn to areas that we need to improve on and focus on questions like ‘Where we can grow?’ and ‘How we can grow?’

100%, definitely. We have already recommended Sllick to other businesses, especially the Xero side of things – we think a lot of businesses could benefit from moving to Xero.
