Adaptation Supplies Ltd are a plumbing and adaptations supplier who specialise in wet rooms, bathrooms, tiles, flooring, and electricals. Their bathroom products focus on stocking a wide range of mobility bathroom supplies for the elderly, disabled and mobility impaired. With the purpose, ‘changing lives for the better’, they aim to make people’s lives easier and more comfortable.

What was your main driver for finding a new accountant?


Just before lockdown last year, we were looking to improve and invest in the business. So, it was to move from Sage on to Xero, to move onto another inventor platform as well, all in the cloud. For us, it made sense to look virtually for an accountant or an accounting company that could work in that way with us, because it makes things more efficient really.

Why did you choose to work with Sllick?


We were originally introduced by a third party and we progressed well from initial conversations. I got on quite well with Robert, and it worked really, really well to be honest. We just sort of understood each other – Robert understood what we were looking for and what he should be looking for, for us. We were dealing with real-time information and more importantly, things up in the cloud as well. This allows you to pull and push things across, look at things, analyse things, and know where you are going.

How did we make your business Sllicker?


It was about getting everything in place. We integrated two new systems, so our employees were learning both of these systems. Lockdown made it more difficult, with everything being done virtually. It was an interesting combination – learning new systems and dealing with these outside factors.

How satisfied were you with our solutions and working with our team?


Fantastic because they’re solutions focused. So, when you talk to Robert, he is quite proactive – he will look at something and come back, or you can have a discussion about something in the moment and he’ll say, “Right, well let’s try this, let’s try that.” So, it’s quite a pragmatic and proactive approach, which I quite like, but at the heart of it, it’s all about being solutions focused.
